The ocean and climate change: tools and guidelines for action
The ocean continues to get only peripheral attention in climate change research and policy, despite its enormous importance in regulating global climate and its sensitivity to the impacts of climate change and ocean acidification. This report provides an overview of the interactions between the ocean and climate and describes the impacts of climate change on the marine ecosystems and the goods and services they provide human society. Strengthening voices for better choices: a capacity needs assessment process
The Strengthening Voice for Better Choices (SVBC) project is currently operating in six tropical forest countries (Brazil, Ghana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Sri Lanka and Vietnam). To allow key stakeholders to acquire the skills and knowledge that will allow them to participate more effectively in the development and implementation of new and improved forest governance arrangements, a capacity needs assessment (CNA) process for the six national components of SVBC was designed. This publication details the the CNA process.
